Similar story at age 12, but it was a little Japanese mini-bike with a 50 cc engine. I wanted a motorcycle after that but didn't actually get into riding until I graduated from university at age 25.
Wierd weather in Victoria today. I went to the post office on my bike and it was relatively warm (+12 C) and sunny. Stepped out and it was raining hard with a few flakes of snow!
